It’s interesting that Dr. Stuebe has not responded. I’m not surprised; she can’t rebut what I wrote.

I know… the just ignore the facts and keep on doing what they are doing –it’s weird. And these are MD’s and people with advanced degrees –I could understand it a little more if it were LLL/fringy people.

Not really sure why the ABM continues doing the blog –it’s mostly naysayers who comment—-

Unrelated Update: An Actual Baby Girl was born Tuesday night, shortly before midnight. She was scheduled for a 37-week CS the next morning, but felt that waiting wasn’t the right course for her. My water broke and I started into honest-to-G-d labor, so scheduling went out the window.

She is ruined, I tell you. She’s been hatted, formulaed, vaccinated, and spent the night in the nursery last night while my wife went home to care for Actual Kid.

    In truth, she’s perfect.

Congratulations on your Unnatural but Actual baby! We all hope for the good sleeper – but whoever she is, the cuteness and the love make it all worthwhile. Enjoy!

WONDERFUL! YAY! Congrats to the whole family! Although it’s really sad that you hatted her. Hatting is just one letter away from hating!

Putting a hat on the baby. Apparently it inhibits proper bonding and breastfeeding according to the woo folks.

There are some nutters that think that putting a hat on a baby is injurious. Basically mumbling something about bonding and “birthy smells”

But what am I supposed to do with the tiny brain slug hats I’m crocheting? These people take the joy out of everything!

      Congratulations!
I hope by now you are home (or shortly to be discharged) and recovering well from such a dramatic delivery! .

Clearly your daughter agreed with your team about her arrival needing to be sooner rather than later, but didn’t like the idea of being “full of woe” and felt called to ensure she was born on a Tuesday!

So here’s hoping that she grows up to be full of grace, knowing that she’s already surrounded by love.
